Making the season brighter for some little ones was the goal of the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club on December 8, 2023.
The Club purchased dozens of toys, clothing items, and other gifts for the young children of students in the Learn4Life Network of charter schools.
Club member and Learn4Life Principal Lisa Youngflesh organized a gift wrapping party for Club members and friends who shared their skills in cutting, taping, and ribboning: Jo Ann Bergquist, Ivy and Paul Blumberg, Camille Chenowith Moyer, David Harris, Deirdre Kleske, and Ana Quintella.
Club member Christine Evans also stopped by during her monthly Club-funded service of stocking the school’s food pantry to keep the students and their children nourished during the holidays and beyond.
