In loving memory of Club member Fern Platt-Hall, four dozen bags of supplies were put together for distribution to community members living on the streets.

Fern began the tradition of making "Fern's Bags" for Club members to give out to people asking for help on street corners. The Club provided socks, granola bars, a water bottle, lip balm, bandages, and tooth paste, and a Girl Scout troop generously donated toothbrushes for the bags.

Furthering a Club goal of strengthening ties with Rotaract clubs, members came out to support the Pacific Beach Rotaractors' "Pub Crawl for Polio," bravely making the trek to four venues with dozens of other Rotary Club members and friends. Publicity and Fundraising Chair Emma Head, pictured below, did an impressive job of keeping the Crawlers on schedule, taking group photos, and doling out awards for the best "Rock Star" costumes!
