Supervisor Dianne Jacob was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1992. Now serving a seventh consecutive term, she has held elective office longer than anyone in San Diego County government history.
She represents the more than 620,000 residents of District 2, a roughly 2,000-square-mile region that is the largest of the County’s five supervisorial districts.
It includes the cities of El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Santee and Poway, along with the San Diego communities of Allied Gardens, College Area, Del Cerro, Grantville, Navajo, Rolando and San Carlos. She also represents East County’s unincorporated communities, including Alpine, Julian, Ramona, Spring Valley, Campo and Rancho San Diego.
